Thank you! Black and white is a dying art and, while I attempt to revive it, I thought it might be useful to master color photography as well :) Thank you very much for taking time to comment!

Lovely subject

full view is intense... the viewer does not know which part of the face to focus on...the eyes through the tossled hair, the nose, or the mouth...it is much like having a conversation with a friend and not knowing which part of their face is more telling to gauge their emotion/thought...

an intense gaze
somewhere closer to thought than sadness
what do we notice when we see someone
do we see a face
a soul
an emotion
a connection?

The colour is subdued but in a very natural way. The light is soft and diffuse but does not detract from the crispness of the lines of the face. This is the colour and lighting of my recollections and memories of my friends and loved ones. Very nice capture.

Full view is pretty intense, and I love that you didn't photoshop it. Seeing the slight creases in skin, along with lots of other details makes the picture much more engaging than the typical smoothed over photoshopped images I've been seeing more and more recently. It just goes to show beauty doesn't mean you have to look like plastic... but it's a bit easy for me to find a place inwhich to invest focus; you have lovely eyes. o.o

Oh, and when I said "photoshop"...yush. I meant, "photoshop to death". Heh ^^ I guess you did use some methods of improving the picture...well, I won't pretend to know anything about photography ^__^

Wow... Your comments are simply inspiring... You have a beautiful knack for weaving into words what I am trying to say through my images. I've never been good with exressing my emotions and thoughts through the literary arts... I find tht when I try to do so, it cheapens and desaturates it. I sincerely apologize for my late replies... Don't let that be an indication to you of how much I value your words...

"it is much like having a conversation with a friend and not knowing which part of their face is more telling to gauge their emotion/thought" is incredible... how do such insights materialize for you? Now that I have read it, I can find no better words for it, but before I read it, I can find no words at all... Thank you very much for you encouragement... it means a great deal to me.

My gosh, that photo is amazing... the way your hiar falls, the way the light relflects of your skin, the intesity of your eyes....magnificent!

And I love the verse that goes with it..awesome..

Ps. sorry it's not Ad. Crit, but I thought I would let you know how awesome it is...
